life in and around a Vancouver suburb
Most residents of British Columbia and Canada are aware how BC Bud has grown and prospered in this province from it’s early beginnings in the Gulf Island hippy communites to the present billion dollar underground industry. Our bud is know the world over for it’s quality and potency. But what about the United States? Ah…yes, our friends to the north. Well fear not as they have a thriving industry of their own whether the FDA, FBI and local law officials like it or not.
It appears that the editorial page of The Province is no longer sporting the editorial cartoons of either Bob Krieger or Dan Murphy. I won’t miss Krieger’s lame at best but most of Murphy’s cartoons made me laugh out loud.
Darnell Pratt will be released from prison in June after serving less than five years of a nine year sentence for dragging Grant De Patie under his car for 7.5 kilometres. Mr. Pratt was caught stealing gas in a stolen Chrysler LeBaron and Grant, an employee at the Esso station, attempted to stop his car from leaving the lot.
The story is that an Apple engineer named Gary Powell left his iPhone 4.0 prototype in the Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, California. It was ‘found’ and delivered (sold) to tech web site Gizmodo.com and they did the only thing nerds know how to do…they took it apart, took pictures and posted everything on their web site. Apple executives must have shit their collective pants after Steve Jobs began work on the iGuillotine for the Apple campus complete with an iBucket for the heads of those responsible.
