life in and around a Vancouver suburb
Darnell Pratt will be released from prison in June after serving less than five years of a nine year sentence for dragging Grant De Patie under his car for 7.5 kilometres. It’s well known that some dogs just don’t like other dogs. Our dog Benjamin and a neighbour’s dog just a block away don’t like each other and waste no time barking and posturing whenever they meet. They’ve had 3 run-ins over the years and we keep Benjamin on a leash at all times on his walks only because this dog however our neighbour are not nearly as responsible.
The case of David Whiffin and Clayton Cunningham, two people that give new meaning to the word scumbag. These miscreants allowed a 27-year-old Appaloosa gelding named Jalupae to starve then tied its neck to the bucket of an excavator, raising it so the horse was off the ground. It died from strangulation.

So I would approach a local elementary school and ask them to allow me to spread the word about dinosaurs in their school every noon. But if the school wasn’t interested in my club and refused to allow me to run my goofy dinosaur club meetings would I be upset and start screaming about my rights? Probably not.
