Way back in 1979 and again in 1980, Doug Bower went to see Queen perform at The Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. Back in these days of festival seating, Doug was a young, aspiring photographer and brought his camera along to take photos of the band while standing a few rows back from the stage.

Today is the birthday of Lilian (Anne) Louise Barker. My lovely mum passed away in 1975 and today, June 11, 2010 would have been her 81st birthday. I was just a kid when she left us after a long battle with cancer but I remember her laugh, her grace and unending patience with her four children.
