life in and around a Vancouver suburb
It’s not enough that we Canadians are polite and courteous but we’re also quite aware of countries and people outside our own borders. So it’s exceedingly painful when we witness NBC News goofballs Meredith Vieira and Matt Lauer bring new meaning to the words ‘confused and uninformed’ as they offer this fascinating discourse while toasting marshmallows on Whistler Mountain. Behold our neighbours to the south as they continue to know little or nothing about their neighbours to the north unless it has something to do with Celine Dion…
A collection of thoughts and observations regarding life in a Vancouver suburb. I may touch on world events, local, regional and national politics, religion, sex, sports, fine wine and any other subject that strikes my fancy. Do you disagree or have something to add? I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t even know who Steve Fonyo is.

OH!!!!
I thought those things at the opening gig were flaming dildos. Now I can see it all clearly. They were flaming marshmellows on sticks!!
Another laugh is watching the local reporters all decked out in heavy winter clothing, scarfs, mitts….in the background you can see poeple walking around in shirt sleeves.
Next time maybe they should have mud wrestling as one of the winter events. Man…what a nightmare Cypress is becoming. 20,000 tickets cancelled so far. No food , no water, no refrigeration…I’m sure glad I’m watching it on the big screen at home instead!!
